Preparation of spray solution:- First add a little quantity of water to the wettable powder and prepare a thin paste. Add this solution slowly into the required quantity of water and stir well. Operators are always recommended to give the spray a thorough stirring when resuming work after breaks. Plant Protection Equipments: Knapsack or foot-operated sprayers fitted with flat fan or flood jet type of nozzle. To ensure better effectiveness follow the undermentioned guidelines. (1) For pre-emergence application : (a) Ensure that the field does not have clods and stubbles (b) After spraying metribuzin 70 WP, do not disturb the soil. (2) For pre and post-emergence application: (a) Avoid drift of spray


Metribuzin 70 WP should be sprayed with flood jet/flat fan nozzles without overlapping spray swaths. To keep uniform swath width, it is advisable to keep the nozzle height constant from ground level i.e. 48-50 cm.

Time of Applications:

Soybean: Pre-emergence- 1-2 days after sowing. Wheat: post emergence- 35 days after sowing. Sugarcane: Pre-emergence- 3-5 days after planting or Post emergence- 25-30 days after planting. Potato: Pre-emergence- 3-4 days after planting or post-emergence- between emergence and time when the first potato plant has reached a height of 5 cm. Tomato: Pre-planting- a week before transplanting or post-planting- 15 days after transplanting.
